3/16/2024 0 Comments Torchlight 2 best aoe class"Tanking" is not something you can really do in this game, the closest thing to a tank would be, actually, a mostly-Focus Engineer with Shield Bash on right-click. You could make a 2-hander melee Engineer. Its apparently IMBA for Synergies but I dont play with that so it feels pretty balanced for me. Mod-wise my favorite is the Nethermancer. Can fill any role it wants to by building for it. Incredibly versatile, fun theme and the endgame sets looks really good. Land: Focused on 1v1 land encounters this is the most common game situation in Age of Empires 2 and the core. Vanilla classes I have to say my favorite is the Engineer. Each civilisation is rated individually for these situations and listed alphabetically below. Tremor's main deal is that it adds a weakness to Physical damage, but it's only really a big deal for things that always do damage as pure Physical, which are minions and Shield Bash. The table below provides an AoE2 civ tier list for a broad range of scenarios given this has a dramatic impact on civilisation effectiveness. Emberquake would hit a large part of the screen by itself, too. He probably realized it sorta comes out as redundant when you already use Seismic Slam for some AoE skill, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to use that mana for your actual primary attack skill anyway. He also has Tremor but is rarely using it at all outside of the boss fight. The only active spells that are actually okay are summons and Frost. He doesn't seem to know how pathetically weak it is. It fills your bar so you can dump it for a boosted Forcefield.Īlso, he sure is using his two support skills a whole lot on just mooks when going straight to using Flame Hammer would kill them outright.Īlso, he's using the Elemental Protection spell. He should, it counts for all kills except minion kills. Skill DoTs are always unstackable, too.Īlso, he doesn't seem to have put points on Charge Domination. The actual damage from this, which is Focus-based btw, should be low later, it's just supporting damage. He has Seismic Slam, the fire stomp, but the point of it is the AoE stun (the area also gets larger). ![]() ![]() And it also doubles as a teleport skill to get you out of trouble. It's a slowing debuff, great to keep applied on strong enemies, that deals small damage but generates a lot of free charge if used against a clustered group. He has Onslaught, the jumpy shock smash, which is great. Great on damage and great for dumping mana, no charge generation though. These two are the go-to for every non-cannon, non-pure-summoner Engineer. He's using Flame Hammer as his primary attack, which is great, though Emberquake from level 42 is an upgrade of it. ![]() I see he has a shield without a ShieldBash spec just so he can block, but little-known fact is, blocking still drains your Forcefield, so it doesn't actually help all that much compared to using a 2-hander melee Forcefield build, which adds a stun chance to all your DPS skills. That in the video is just a standard melee Engineer, actually.Įveryone says they're a "tank" Engineer because they have Forcefield and Healbot, but it's a given for EVERY Engineer ever to have Forcefield and Healbot.
